Tottenham not planning on hijacking Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus move

Tottenham are not planning on rivaling north London rivals Arsenal in their chase of Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus, with their focus on a different sort of forward this summer.

That is according to Football.London, who report that ‘they are not planning to make a bid for the frontman this summer’. ‘Fabio Paratici and Spurs are admirers of the Manchester City striker, but no bid has gone in for him and there are no plans to make a bid at the current time’, they add.

Tottenham have already made three signings this summer, with Yves Bissouma joining Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster in making the move to north London this summer, and the signings are thought to be set to continue, with Djed Spence and Richarlison linked with joining the club.

Meanwhile, the London Evening Standard claim that ‘Spurs have turned their attentions to Jesus’s Brazil team-mates Richarlison and Raphinha’, which could hamper Arsenal’s chase of the Leeds winger.

The Gunners have already had one bid for Raphinha rejected, and are expected to return with another.

How close are Arsenal to signing Jesus?

Widespread reports suggest that Arsenal are very close to signing Gabriel Jesus, but reports still seem to remain wary about potential other suitors coming in the gazzump the Gunners, with Chelsea and PSG both having been linked with a move.
